Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Decommissioning Advisor to join our team at Assystem GmbH. As a key member of our decommissioning team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on waste management and characterization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of disposal and treatment routes for wastes in the UK and overseas, as well as thorough knowledge of legislation and frameworks impacting waste management in the UK.

With an estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on location, this role offers a competitive package and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide authoritative waste management and characterization advice
  • Prepare and review waste and characterisation documentation
  • Lead small teams when required
Requirements
  • Degree in a scientific or engineering-based subject
  • Relevant experience in waste or characterisation engineering
  • Certificate of competence to act as a Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA)
