Social Worker

Schoen Clinic Newbridge is seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join their team in a specialist eating disorder hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert social work input to support patients with mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expertise and guidance to the multidisciplinary team on social care interventions, taking into account the health and social context of patients.
- Liaise with patients, their families, and other disciplines to monitor and evaluate treatment, ensuring effectiveness and progress.
- Monitor patients' ongoing mental state and parenting capability, recognizing any safeguarding issues and prioritizing the wellbeing of children.
- Develop strong links with agencies to promote social inclusion for patients and carers, and act as a resource for the team on identifying and accessing relevant services.
- Promote awareness of the social worker's role within the team, negotiating priorities as needed.
- Work within NICE guidelines, Schoen Clinic policies, and professional codes of conduct.

Person Specification- Essential:
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and information sharing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Maintains a professional conduct at all times.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working with adults with mental health conditions.
- Practice experience of applying assessment skills in a statutory social work setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding for adults and children.
- Knowledge of social work intervention methods and relevant legislation.
- Desirable:
- Work within NICE guidelines.
- Attendance at mandatory training for the profession.
- Two years post-qualified experience in mental health services.
- Essential:
- Degree in social work or equivalent.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Level 3 safeguarding training for adults and children.
- Desirable:
- Level 4 safeguarding training for adults and children.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Attendance at clinical supervisions.
