About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils in a vibrant and inclusive primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to KS1 pupils.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to reinforce learning objectives and address specific student needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Help manage classroom behavior in line with school policies and create a safe, encouraging space for all students.
  • Assist with classroom organization and preparation of resources.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in KS1.
  • Experience working with young children in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting children's learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
