Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Practitioner to join our team at Scottish Autism. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Build positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure their life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Autism Practitioner and team members to deliver high-quality support services.
  • Provide support with daily living tasks, promoting independence and active citizenship.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of collaboration and compassion.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in social care or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to Scottish Autism's values of collaboration, compassion, change makers, and contribution.
