Event Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to work closely with a Local Authority in St. Helens on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the St Helens Christmas events, including plans, projects, policies, systems, processes, and programmes that support the achievement of directorate and organisational aims and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead contract and financial management of all event-related activity, including procurement, contract management of supplier contracts, and income generation.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including key partners, community organisations, and wider support services, to ensure effective and safe event management.
- Complete all relevant event documentation, including the Event Management Plan, and ensure the timely completion of risk assessments.
- Undertake all elements of the project management cycle, from initial scoping and business case, to project initiation, delivery, evaluation, and lessons learnt.
Requirements:
- Availability to work immediately or at short notice.
- Right to work in the UK.
