About This Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at YourRecruit. This is a rare opportunity to provide 1st & 2nd Line Support for all technology provided across the school, working with the Apprentice IT Technician to ensure high-quality IT services are always available.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide 1st & 2nd Line Support for all IT hardware and services within the school community, escalating complex issues to the IT Manager as needed.
  2. Ensure that all users have the necessary technology access for their roles; deliver high-quality support either remotely or face-to-face, updating both the user and ticketing system at every step until resolution.
  3. Resolve issues and implement changes with minimal service impact, performing out-of-hours work if requested by the Director of IT.
  4. Monitor the IT Helpdesk, progressing and assigning tickets to ensure prompt resolution for all support requests.

Requirements:

  • Administering Microsoft 365 user accounts.
  • Using Microsoft 365 tools in classroom settings, including Teams and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Supporting and maintaining IT hardware, such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and classroom display screens.
  • Experience in supporting the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain high-quality documentation for both technical teams and end users.
  • Strong knowledge of data and cyber security best practices.
  • Fluent, precise written and spoken English.
