Job Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Professional to join our team at Read Recruit Ltd in Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established accountancy firm, offering a competitive salary of £40-45K.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a busy tax department, working closely with the Tax Director to manage a portfolio of clients, prepare tax returns, and communicate directly with clients.

  1. Responsibilities include preparing personal tax returns, self-employed accounts, and partnerships, as well as supporting the Tax Director with advisory work and communicating with HMRC.
  2. Possess practical knowledge of personal tax and good IT skills, with experience in client-facing roles and confidence when communicating with stakeholders.
  3. Familiarity with Capital Gains Tax work and 60-day advance filing for property is also essential.
Requirements:
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be proactive and confident when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
  • Hold a valid qualification in accounting or taxation, such as ACCA or CIMA.
