About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Paediatrician to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a general paediatrician with an existing special interest in Rheumatology or for someone who would like the opportunity to be given training and to develop a special interest in rheumatology.

As a Senior Paediatrician, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, leading teams, and contributing to the development of closer working patterns, guidelines, education, and standards within the department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Add value to the department of paediatrics and paediatric Rheumatology through strong professional leadership
  • Support consultant-led care in both out-patient and in-patient settings
  • Provide telephone advice for patients and families
  • Contribute to undergraduate teaching programs and postgraduate education and supervision within the department
  • Participate in network-related activities and Peer Review-related activities
  • Support the development of improved facilities for research and participation in audit
