We are seeking an experienced Maintenance professional to join our team at a Secondary academy site in the Peterborough area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day general maintenance and site work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the maintenance caretaker in ensuring the environment of all buildings is safe, well-maintained, and meets Health and Safety requirements.
  • Support the maintenance caretaker with janitorial and cleaning provision.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure smooth maintenance operations.
  • Ensure the security of the building and its surroundings.
  • Have experience in facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Be reliable and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and be approachable and happy to interact with staff, students, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in maintenance is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • IT literacy is necessary, as you will be using various systems to input data.
