We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at a prestigious manufacturer of Health & Beauty Products. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.
Purpose of the RoleTo maintain and repair electrical equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure factory output is maintained and quality is not compromised.
- Ensure all electrical equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Carry out routine safety system checks and record accordingly.
- Manage the testing of electrical products and systems, as well as the implementation of new electrical equipment.
- Liaise with external service providers to ensure equipment is serviced and maintained in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Provide a portfolio of critical spares and create detailed stock locations to ensure stores stock levels are sufficient.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining full Engineering cover.
- Be commercially aware of Health and Safety standards and requirements, including Risk Assessments.
- Look for ways to improve Engineering processes, facilities, and/or machines to ensure cost savings and better efficiencies/output.
- Engineering qualification (for example Level 3 BTEC or City and Guilds diploma) with considerable experience in operational engineering.
- Ideally an electrical specific qualification (for example 18th Edition Electrical Regs).
- Proven hands-on experience and knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
- Electrical fault-finding skills.
- Strong manual dexterity.
- PLC fault finding skills would be an advantage.
