Electrical Building Services Design Engineer

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary design team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and construction of complex, bespoke facilities in specialist and regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, structured cabling, and security systems.
  2. Perform system calculations and equipment selection based on project needs.
  3. Ensure design conformance with industry standards and regulations, collaborating with project teams.
  4. Prepare construction documents such as equipment schedules, layout drawings, and single-line diagrams.
  5. Manage the electrical aspects of projects from initial design through to construction and commissioning.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical building services design.
  3. Strong understanding of electrical design principles and relevant industry standards.
  4. Ability to develop efficient and innovative design solutions from first principles.
  5. Commercial awareness and strong project management skills.
  6. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools like Trimble (Amtech), Dialux / Relux, and Excel.
  7. Working knowledge of 2D/3D platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  8. Full UK driving licence is essential.
