About the Role
As a key member of the Programme Delivery and Change Team within Digital Technology and Transformation at Northumbria University, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of strategic Estates Projects across the Estates Portfolio.
Working closely with the DTT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring project scope, budget, and plans, utilizing key project management techniques to ensure successful project outcomes.
You will report directly to the DTT Project Manager and collaborate with the Estates team, services, and stakeholders across the University, as well as external suppliers and third parties.
About the Team
The Programme Delivery and Change Team is led by the Director of Programme Delivery and Change and is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of strategic Estates Projects across the Estates Portfolio, aligned to the University Strategy.
As a Project Coordinator, you will support the DTT Project Managers in managing the successful delivery of strategic Estates Projects, ensuring that these projects are managed in line with the agreed DTT Project Governance process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding and knowledge of project management and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a project delivery environment.
You will be required to assist in ensuring that these projects are managed in line with the agreed DTT Project Governance process, delivering regular reporting to provide progress to agreed delivery programmes, highlighting risks and issues to the project stakeholders and University Sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme management and monitoring, highlighting delays and risks as and where necessary
- Management of the finances associated with the project in conjunction with the financial lead
- Management of risks, ensuring they are recorded and mitigated within the project risk log
- Communication with the project team and stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and managed throughout the project life cycle
- Undertaking procurement in accordance with regulations to secure resource and requirements; and the management of these third parties
