Job Title: Heavy Lifting Equipment Engineer

Location: South West England (with periodic UK-wide travel)

Industry: Heavy Engineering / Cranes

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This role involves conducting planned and reactive maintenance on gantry cranes and lifting equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical bias and relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis, electrical inspections, and repairs in line with safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety, and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on crane equipment.
  • Travel periodically to client sites across the UK to meet business demands.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on cranes, preferably gantry cranes or similar heavy lifting equipment.
  • Strong electrical bias and relevant qualifications.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home around the South West of England and travel UK-wide as required.
