Job Summary
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of the critical care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients and contributing to the development of our service.
Job Description
Main Duties
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based clinical care to critically ill patients, assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans.
You will also be responsible for monitoring patient progress, working towards safe and timely discharge plans, and identifying and addressing any barriers to discharge.
In addition, you will participate in the teaching and supervision of junior staff and student nurses, and take charge of the unit when required.
Requirements
- A Registered General Nurse with experience in critical care and a Critical Care Course or Advanced Diploma in Intensive Care/High Dependency Care.
- Significant experience in critical care, with a strong understanding of current clinical developments and nursing issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
