About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Professional to join our team in Plymouth. This is a Monday to Friday position with a 40-hour working week.

The successful candidate will receive:

  • Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum
  • Maintenance Vehicle and Fuel Card: Based in Plymouth, covering multiple locations
  • Holidays: At least 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
  • Call-Out Arrangements: A fair share of call-outs, with a £105 standby fee
  • Overtime Opportunities: Available

Main Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on fabric structures to ensure they remain safe and functional.
  2. Identify and rectify any damage or issues with fabric installations promptly.
  3. Assist with the installation and upgrade of fabric systems as required.
  4. Select, source, and manage fabric materials and tools to maintain high standards.
  5. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  6. Prepare detailed reports on fabric conditions and maintenance activities.
  7. Collaborate effectively with maintenance staff and communicate clearly with management.
  8. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  9. Train and supervise junior staff and maintenance personnel to enhance skills and knowledge.
  10. Apply technical expertise to resolve complex fabric-related issues efficiently.
  11. Pursue additional skills and training to stay up-to-date with industry developments, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, tiling, and other related disciplines.
