Mechanic and Diagnostician

We are seeking a talented Mechanic and Diagnostician to join our client's team in Durham. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of up to £36,556 (OTE of £40,786) and excellent prospects for career advancement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles makes and models. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Using diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
• Keeping accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Communicating with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques

Requirements include:

• Some experience as a vehicle technician and/or a relevant and up-to-date qualification
• An MOT qualification is a significant advantage
• A full valid UK driving licence
• A stocked toolbox for work
