Electricity Distribution Network Specialist

Deliver heat, light, and power for 8 million people in the Midlands, Southwest England, and South Wales as part of National Grid's Electricity Distribution team. This role is crucial for managing network performance, driving business growth through ED2, and developing long-term plans.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding asset performance, behaviour, and degradation using data-driven insights.
  • Developing strategies to address emerging needs of the asset base and ensuring optimal network reliability.
  • Creating and monitoring programmes of work on our assets to improve overall network efficiency.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in asset management practices within the organization.

This is an 18-month graduate programme with a tailored development pathway, providing opportunities to develop leadership, business, and technical skills. You'll attend in-person and virtual sessions, complete a core development programme, and focus on commerciality skills and engineering knowledge.

To be successful, you'll need a minimum 2:2 degree in Business Management, Marketing with Business, or Economics. Additionally, you should have a full valid UK driving license, flexibility to travel within the role and throughout rotations, and the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme.

You'll be based in Bristol or Castle Donington, enjoying flexible hybrid working. The estimated salary for this role is £34,895, with a £2,000 bonus, 26 days' holiday, and a £2,400 payment upon programme completion.
