About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Portering Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing an excellent patient care experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a flexible and efficient quality service extending care and consideration to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Receive work requests via telephone and the Trust's My Care computer system and take prompt and appropriate action in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Supervise and prioritize work and direct staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources.
  • Ensure duties carried out by dispatchers/porters are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Carry out corridor clearance duties in line with the Trust's Fire Advisory regulations.
  • Assist with furniture and office move requests.

Working Pattern

12 hour shifts, including nights, days, weekends, and bank holidays for which allowances will be paid.
