We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at PXC. As a key member of our Data Authority team, you will play a critical role in driving the alignment of solution designs to good data management practices.
As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for working with Enterprise Architecture and project architects to govern the formulation of solution designs at high level and in detail. You will ensure that data architecture and data management principles are applied consistently to the applications estate.
You will also be accountable for the development and ongoing enhancement of the PXC Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM). This will involve engaging with architects, designers, technical staff, and business stakeholders to provide training in the use of the model and to promote its benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Work with Enterprise Architecture and project architects to ensure solution designs take appropriate consideration of PXC's data strategy objectives.
- Develop and maintain the PXC Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM) and ensure its alignment with industry best practices.
- Provide guidance on solution design to ensure solution development is in line with data architecture blueprints and data governance and quality standards.
- Participate in project architecture governance processes and contribute to the development of guidelines for data architecture and data solution design.
- Contribute to the maintenance of data standards, including the glossary, data catalogue, and common data services design definition.
- Strong understanding of data management and storage systems, with a focus on Microsoft Azure/Snowflake.
- Ability to design and enforce data infrastructure policies, procedures, and processes.
- Experience in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
