About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at DFS Furniture Ltd. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business performance and decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly financial insights to support review of business performance
  • Provide financial analysis, learnings, and recommendations to budget holders and senior finance business partners to support decision-making
  • Generate key insights from financial and non-financial information (internal and external) to inform business action plans
  • Responsible for the accuracy of month-end management accounts, including reviewing accruals and prepayments and understanding performance drivers
  • Forecasting and budgetary control for specific areas of the DFS business, and support senior finance business partners with forecasting and budgeting for their areas of responsibility
  • Provide analysis and insight to support and challenge budget holders
  • Monthly reporting to non-financial managers, trend analysis of key indicators, and corrective action plans as required
  • Work with senior finance business partners on specific development projects; developing decision support models
  • Support business case development, and play a key role in driving delivery and tracking performance
  • Deputise for senior finance business partners where required
Requirements
  • Commercial acumen and curiosity to understand business performance and appropriate actions
  • Financial modelling skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities, abilities to identify insights from a mass of data
  • Dynamic individual with strong communication skills (including to non-financial managers)
  • Broad understanding of finance disciplines
  • Strong team player, working with and through others
  • Flexible to manage changing demands
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Degree (or equivalent higher qualification)
  • Professional: final exam stage / newly qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Previous experience in a commercial role
