The Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at a university in Plymouth. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that meets the diverse needs of our students and staff. You will work collaboratively with our experienced chefs to create menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal ingredients. With a passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service, you will take pride in every dish you create and ensure that our kitchens are well-stocked and hygienic at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Preparing delicious, high-quality food that meets our high standards
* Overseeing and implementing menu changes to reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Identifying opportunities to improve our food services and suggesting innovative solutions
* Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
* Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
* Representing Compass UK & Ireland and maintaining a positive brand image
* Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked and ensuring that we minimize waste

What You'll Need
* A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts
* Experience supervising a team and managing kitchen operations
* Proven track record of creating delicious, high-quality food and excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

About the Salary
Your salary for this role will be approximately £25,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on your level of experience.
