Software Quality Assurance Specialist

The role of Software Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products throughout the entire development lifecycle. This involves participating in the full software testing lifecycle, creating test schedules, and implementing new processes. The post holder will report daily to the testing manager and will be expected to work autonomously and manage their own time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software testing lifecycle
  • Create test schedules and procedures in conjunction with the development team
  • Implement new processes and procedures
  • Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and end users to ensure testing meets requirements
  • Analyse and interpret project requirements and functional specifications
  • Issue tracking and resolution using the in-house quality system
  • Offer telephone support to external clients via the customer-based service desk
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required

Requirements

  • Previous experience of the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience/knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of SWAGGER/POSTMAN
  • Software product demonstrations
  • Experience of Java Script
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools

Desirable

  • Practical laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language
  • Experience of automated testing
