An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer with a strong background in remediation and earthworks to join a specialist contractor. This role is ideal for individuals with either a contractor or Ground Investigation (GI) consultancy background looking to develop their interpretive, design, and analytical skills. You'll work on complex commercial, residential, and high-rise building schemes throughout England.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Oversee geotechnical projects from the ground investigation stage through to the preparation of technical reports and invoicing.
  2. Design & Analysis: Perform interpretive reporting, foundation design, and calculations for ground movement, pile groups, retaining walls, slopes, and tunnel/structure interaction.
  3. Remediation & Earthworks: Provide expertise in the remediation of embankments, cuttings, and earthworks across civil and commercial infrastructure projects.
  4. Technical Reporting: Prepare and review geotechnical reports, Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental assessments, and foundation recommendations.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with senior geotechnical engineers and other teams on collaborative projects involving civil and structural engineering.
  6. Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, providing technical support and ensuring project specifications are met.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline.
  2. MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Geoscience.
  3. Solid understanding of slope stability, remediation of embankments and cuttings, and geotechnical design for civil infrastructure projects.
  4. Full UK Driving Licence.
