Aerospace Safety Director

Location:

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our award-winning manufacturer in Cornwall.

This is a pivotal role to the business in ensuring that all H&S policies are upheld, allowing us to continually strengthen our brand within the UK market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our health and safety procedures, working closely with our team to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop, implement and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures;
• To conduct regular risk assessments and provide guidance on hazard control measures;
• To coordinate training programs for employees on health and safety protocols;
• To investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying areas for improvement;
• To collaborate with our operations team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in a health and safety management role;
• Proven track record of improving health and safety performance;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
