Job Title: Service Technician

At Canadian Solar, we are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our energy storage systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Commission and maintain energy storage systems, including Solbank Storage Power Blocks.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure compliance with warranty requirements.
  • Oversee and supervise sub-contractors on site as needed.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Complete work order documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate inventory of spare parts.
  • Perform proper LOTO and switching procedures.
  • Support client training during commissioning.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Electrical Technician with a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience in a service environment.
  • CSCS Certified.
  • Previous training and knowledge of inverters.
  • SCADA experience is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Applications.
  • Previous experience with a CMMS software program is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First Aid Trained.
