We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Edinburgh, working on AI for Electronic Systems Modelling.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term position for up to 5 years, affiliated with the UKRI APRIL AI Hub. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of researchers and the APRIL operations team to develop novel AI capabilities, tools, and methodologies for electronic systems modelling.
The post-holder will have experience in building digital twins for modelling device/systems performance, with input from automated testing routines. They will also engage with world-leading experts across AI and electronics to ensure relevance of their research in addressing state-of-art challenges in electronics.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead research projects in AI for Electronic Systems Modelling
- Collaborate with the APRIL operations team and other researchers to develop novel AI capabilities and tools
- Engage with industry partners and academic leads to ensure relevance of research
- Deliver research project results in an Electronic Systems Modelling and/or AI context
- 1st class undergraduate degree and a PhD in Electronics or AI, or a closely related area
- Experience in AI tools for Electronic Systems Modelling automation and Electronics Testing and instrumentation
- Track record of research in AI, with a specific focus on Electronic Systems Modelling or a closely related area
- Ability to be adaptive and accepting of new ideas and a willingness to approach new challenges
