Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our pre-construction team on a permanent basis. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analysing bid specifications, drawings, and project documents to develop a thorough understanding of project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation: Assist in the preparation of Estimates from First Principles using Estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  2. Technical Analysis: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and understand the scope of work.
  3. Subcontractor Enquiries: Collaborate with subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  4. Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project documents.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with estimators, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment between estimated costs and project scope.

Requirements:

  1. Education: HND in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  2. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering collaboration and building positive relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders.
  3. Driving License: Essential.
