About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fresh Produce Supply Chain and Ordering Team Manager to join our team at Lidl GB. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for leading a team of supply chain officers and consultants, overseeing the ordering and demand planning for fresh produce, and contributing to the development of our F&V supply chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of supply chain officers and consultants to ensure smooth stock management of fresh produce
  • Oversee the ordering and demand planning process for fresh produce, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our stores
  • Contribute to the development of our F&V supply chain strategy, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to drive business growth
  • Present data and insights to senior stakeholders, providing recommendations for business improvement
  • Liaise with suppliers and the buying team to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Oversee the handling of day-to-day operations, including inventory management and data analysis
  • Run daily and weekly reports, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Analyse data to forecast fruit and vegetable volumes, identifying trends and opportunities for growth
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of F&V promotions, ensuring alignment with commercial KPIs
  • Regularly report on promotions and availability KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with regional distribution centres on all aspects of F&V availability

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, with a focus on fresh produce
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
  • German language skills are highly desirable
