Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Surveyor to join our team at Premier Guarantee. As a Risk Management Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction sites registered for our warranty schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction sites to assess the risk of defects and ensure compliance with building regulations and technical standards.
- Work closely with developers, builders, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Record inspection details and communicate findings to customers and colleagues.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to developers, builders, and other stakeholders on risk management and building control.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure that standards are maintained and procedures are adhered to.
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements:
- Part or full membership of a professional organization such as RICS, CIOB, CABE, or ICWCI.
- Relevant experience in building control, plan checking, and site inspection, as well as warranty, quality, or defect resolution experience.
- In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of building regulations and associated legislation.
- Demonstrable understanding of latent defect risk management and methods for mitigating claims.
- Basic understanding of general insurance principles and terminology.
- Ability to undertake site inspections to assess quality and the cause/effect of building defects.
- Commercial awareness and ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience of relationship management.
- Flexible approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Full driving license for use in the UK.
- Ability to fulfill the mobility requirements of the RMS role, including the ability to move around a site, climb ladders, work at height, and drive reasonable distances.
- Proficient in English communications (written and oral).
