Job Summary:

Raven Housing Trust is seeking a skilled Former Tenant Arrears and Income Officer to join our team. As a key member of our income recovery team, you will play a vital role in supporting customers to repay their arrears and develop a payment culture to protect Raven's income.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a sector-leader in carbon reduction, with commercial ventures and a focus on the future. As a Former Tenant Arrears and Income Officer, you will be responsible for collecting former rent, court costs, garage, and recharge arrears. You will also manage a portfolio of former and current arrears cases to ensure cases are consistently reducing by proactively contacting customers and complying with arrears processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect former rent, court costs, garage, and recharge arrears.
  • Manage a portfolio of former and current arrears cases to ensure cases are consistently reducing.
  • Support and assess vulnerabilities and provide a tailored service to suit our former customer's needs and communication preferences.
  • Handle difficult conversations with customers with understanding and empathy, building rapport based on trust and support.

What You'll Bring to Raven:

  • Rent account management experience, including case management.
  • High levels of financial acumen, able to understand complex financial information.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Experience of working in a rent/income environment with some knowledge of arrears management.
  • A full, clean driving licence, as this role requires travel.
