About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our Occupational Health team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and health surveillance to identify and mitigate potential health risks
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on fitness to work and necessary adjustments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health, Human Resources, and Line Managers to address emerging issues and trends
  • Supervise and mentor Occupational Health Technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Manage employee health records and data collection to inform performance monitoring and key objectives
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register
  • Hold an occupational health qualification, such as a certificate, diploma, or degree
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of relevant legislation relating to Occupational Health
  • Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR compliance
Desirable
  • Supervision of junior colleagues
  • Safety critical or rail industry experience
  • Data analysis
