The Surgical Assessment Ward consists of an assessment unit and ward area with an assessment room and short stay surgical inpatient beds.
We are currently undergoing a refurbishment, making this an ideal time to join our team.
About the WardThe Surgical Assessment Ward is part of the same day emergency care (SDEC) programme, where we deliver rapid assessment of patients including diagnostic and treatment without being admitted to a ward.
We are looking for an individual who will support the ward sister in leading and developing the experienced nursing team in this department and promote multi-disciplinary working.

We deliver care from two main hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, six community hospitals and in patients' own homes.
