Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Senior Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple design and construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including design and construction phases.
  • Coordinate with designers, engineers, contractors, and shop mechanics to ensure project success.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve project-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • Considerable knowledge of operations and maintenance of institutional facilities, including building and utility systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as LEED AP or PE.
  • Experience with facility design and construction, including cost estimating and building codes.
