We're seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Specialist to join our team at Rolls-Royce, where you'll contribute to the development of advanced system controls and software solutions for the aerospace industry.

About the Requirements

As a Control Systems Specialist, you'll play a critical role in developing and integrating system controls and software solutions for new and in-service Engine Monitoring Units (EMUs) and Engine Vibration & Health Monitoring Units (EVHMUs). You'll work closely with engineers across multiple disciplines and the supply chain to deliver high-quality results.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced system controls and software solutions, ensuring they meet required standards and quality.
  • You will collaborate with engineers to develop and integrate system controls and software solutions.
  • You will conduct thorough analysis of system performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes.
What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An engineering degree(s) from a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrable depth of knowledge and experience in control systems engineering, including associated disciplines such as software development, electronics, and system security.
  • Working knowledge of the health monitoring domain, system architecture, software and hardware development processes, verification vehicles, and strategies.
  • Familiarity with developing model-based systems and software using digital engineering toolsets like MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, time management skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
About the Salary

The base salary for this position is approximately £60,000 per annum, depending on location, plus benefits such as a pension scheme, life assurance, and a generous annual leave allowance.
