You will assist the Head Chef in developing menus that cater to the residents' needs and preferences, while also managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and leading a team.
Main Duties of the Job- Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor menus around them.
- Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Work fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards.
- Help create a warm, efficient and fun environment within our home.
- Work within budget and complete regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage stock control and assist in leading and motivating a team.

Person Specification- You must hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, and have experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
- You should also have a good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh, seasonal food.
- Additionally, you should have a personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the residents, and a good understanding of HACCP.
