Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our Electronics projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electronics solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex electronics projects, including electro-mechanical mechanisms and precision machinery.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a small, mixed-discipline project design team to produce high-quality design solutions.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage projects from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery of outputs within defined deadlines.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, test, and field engineering teams, to integrate electronic, control, and drive systems into equipment designs.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present engineering reports to support new product designs, failure investigation, and other formal documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics design and development, with a strong background in mechanical engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks), strong technical understanding and leadership in project design, and experience in load analysis and design for drive mechanisms and motor systems.
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible for UK government security clearance.
