Job Summary
">A challenging opportunity for an electrical biased engineer or control technician to step up and train as a shift controls engineer supporting the shift maintenance engineers.

We are seeking an electrical automation specialist with strong skills in PLC fault finding, automation, and robotics to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical assistance on fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs to automation, PLCs, and control systems across all areas of manufacturing.

The role involves working closely with the control manager on continuous improvements and upgrades of site PLC systems, automation, and robotics. You will also be responsible for managing site electrical compliance, legislation, documentation, reporting, and PAT. Additionally, you will be the site Electrical Duty Holder once trained.

Responsibilities
">
  • Providing electrical assistance on fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs to automation, PLCs, and control systems.
  • Working closely with the control manager on continuous improvements and upgrades of site PLC systems, automation, and robotics.
  • Managing site electrical compliance, legislation, documentation, reporting, and PAT.
  • Being the site Electrical Duty Holder once trained.


Requirements
">Experience:
  • An electrical biased engineer or control technician with experience in food manufacturing or similar fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong skills in PLC fault finding, automation, and robotics.

Certifications:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualified electrically.
  • Ideally HNC/HND qualified in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Ongoing Training:
  • Willingness to train and develop skills.


Salary & Benefits
