Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Mainstream Schools Team in Hillingdon. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy packages to children with speech, language, and communication needs in mainstream schools.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy packages to children with speech, language, and communication needs in mainstream schools.
- Train and support school staff and parents to implement therapy advice effectively.
- Support schools with the early identification of children with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Prioritize the safeguarding of vulnerable children at all times.
- Support the service to achieve key performance indicators and maintain target activity levels.
- Take part in quality governance, audits, and projects for the team/service.
- Contribute to and provide feedback about possible developments in the team.
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist who:
- Has a recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Has a Health and Care Professions Council license to practice.
- Is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Has knowledge of assessment tools relevant to school-age children with SLCN.
- Has knowledge of a range of appropriate therapy approaches for school-age children with SLCN.
- Has knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to school-age children with SLCN.
- Has awareness of the principles of clinical governance/audit.
- Has awareness of the roles of other professionals relevant to school-age children with SLCN.
- Has knowledge of standards of record keeping.
