Job Title: Business Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Assurance Manager to join our Finance function at AWE plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of business cases and providing assurance on investment proposals.

About the Role

The Business Assurance Team is a critical element of the investment assurance process, and we are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of the assurance and approvals process dictated by the MOD. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, investigating, evaluating, and implementing improved ways of working, as well as taking decisions and solving complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assurance on investment proposals and business cases
  • Identify and implement improved ways of working
  • Take decisions and solve complex business problems
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the assurance and approvals process dictated by the MOD
  • Ability to identify, investigate, evaluate, and implement improved ways of working
  • Ability to take decisions and solve complex business problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong focus on customers and partners and ability to build and sustain strong relationships
  • Ability to manage yourself and work on your own initiative
