The Role
Our team seeks an experienced and passionate Frontend Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our web applications. As a key member, you will lead front-end development efforts, drive architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative frontend architectures for complex web applications, emphasizing scalability and performance.
- Lead the development team in establishing coding standards, best practices, and development processes, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Closely collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and a consistent user experience.
- Develop and maintain reusable UI components and design systems, ensuring code consistency and maintainability.
- Implement real-time collaboration features and manage complex state management in web applications, staying at the forefront of technology advancements.
- Mentor and guide front-end developers, promoting continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to established standards.
- Clearly communicate technical ideas and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues and risks, offering solutions and alternatives to drive project success.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in web development, with a minimum of 2 years in a lead/architect role, showcasing exceptional leadership skills.
- A proven track record of developing high-quality, performant, and scalable web applications, demonstrating expertise in both frontend and backend development.
- Experience with server-side scripting and APIs (REST, GraphQL), as well as familiarity with real-time communication protocols (WebSockets, gRPC) and complex state management solutions.
- A strong understanding of design principles and accessibility guidelines (WCAG), coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- A keen eye for detail, meticulousness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results, alongside the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence others.
- Experience working in a strict/corporate environment with defined processes and procedures, and fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of design systems methodologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), as well as experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- A completed university degree in a relevant field, showcasing academic achievement and dedication to professional growth.
Estimated salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per year.
