About the Role

At Avery Healthcare, we believe in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our care homes.

Your primary focus will be to work as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the home are well-presented and maintained to a high standard. This includes carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with our standard operating procedures and operating laundry facilities to ensure hotel service standards are met.

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate compassion, commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping services, and the ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

You will also need to have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.

Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting is also essential.

Requirements

This role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. You will also need to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
