Job Title: Shipbuilding Engineer

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per year.

Sea-KIT International Ltd is a leading designer and manufacturer of remotely-controlled uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). We are seeking an experienced Shipbuilding Engineer to join our team in Tollesbury, Essex.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for problem-solving issues arising during vessel fabrication and fit-out in on-site production facilities.
  • Ensures designs are fit for purpose, feasible to fabricate, and meet all relevant regulatory and Classification Society rules.
  • Produces technical reports, weight estimates, and stability analyses, and manages weight through the build and fit-out process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year's relevant shipyard/design office work experience.
  • Competent in 2D & 3D CAD software and the Maxsurf software suite.
  • Familiar with Classification Society rules and experienced in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
