Catering Operations Supervisor

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Operations Manager to oversee the catering services at Royal Windsor Racecourse.
The Catering Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of catering and events. This role involves leading and managing teams to coordinate and execute all events at the Racecourse, maintaining the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and catering team to achieve the annual budget for catering income and expenses.
- Manage raceday and non-raceday financial metrics, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Prepare accurate documentation for monthly management accounts, including stock takes and labor analysis.
- Partner with the commercial team and Head Chef to develop innovative product offerings and sales strategies.
- Work closely with the sales team to maximize profitability for all events.
- Ensure budgeted labor percentages are met for all events in collaboration with the Head Chef and Staffing Manager.
- Deliver high-quality service for all events, both raceday and non-raceday.
- Supervise and support direct reports in their roles.
- Coordinate with the Regional HR Manager to ensure compliance with HR policies, including attendance management and performance reviews.
- Fulfill licensee responsibilities, ensuring compliance with alcohol sale regulations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and managing staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar catering and events management role.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices.
