Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer

Job Summary:
Langham Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer to join their team in Chelmsford. As a world leader in the scientific and satellite / space industries, our client is looking for an expert to drive the creation of embedded software and FPGA development, oversee verification and release processes, and ensure compliance across the software development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the creation of embedded software and FPGA development
• Oversee verification and release processes in line with ECSS standards and requirements
• Ensure correct processes are followed throughout the life cycle of the product
• Ensure that all documentation, software, and FPGA code meets standards and compliance requirements
• Carry out reviews of processes, including source code reviews
• Generate test plans and procedures
• Deliver testing and verification of FPGA and software development
Requirements:
• Experience working to high reliability coding standards (e.g. MISRA)
• Knowledge of Space, Aerospace, or Defence development standards
• Experience of ensuring compliance across the software development life cycle
• Experience verifying high reliability software
• Ability to develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Experience with version control and issue tracking software (e.g. Git / Jira)
• Experience programming in C, and with embedded bare-metal
• Experience developing automated test scripts (ideally with Python)
