About the Role

This is a Band 7 leadership position, requiring strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire your team. You will be responsible for leading two tester children's hearing assessment clinics, conducting diagnostic audiological assessments, and providing counselling to patients and parents/carers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To lead the Paediatric part of the Audiology Service across the whole of NWAFT.
  2. To select and perform audiological investigations to assess the child's hearing function.
  3. To provide counselling to patients and parents/carers regarding the nature and extent of any hearing loss.
  4. To manage distressed or angry patients, parents/carers sensitively.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced paediatric audiologist with a Master's degree in Audiology Science or equivalent. You will need to be registered as a Clinical Scientist in Audiology and have advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the ear and balance systems.
