Caregiver for Adults with Disabilities

About the Role:
The Community Support Worker will provide essential assistance to an adult male with developmental disabilities, focusing on their physical, emotional, and daily living skills. The successful applicant will work with behavioral issues and help the individual achieve maximum independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living skills, including personal care and household management.
- Support the individual in developing physical, economic, vocational, recreational, social, and emotional skills.
- Work with behavioral issues and develop strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Document daily progress and provide regular updates to the team.
Requirements:
- A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges.
- Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license.
- Ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions.
- Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered).
- Effective written and verbal communication.
