Job Title: Inclusive Education Teaching Assistant

A competitive salary of £22,000 - £32,000 per annum is offered for this autism teaching assistant role.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to provide one-on-one support to a student with Autistic Spectrum Disorder in Bexleyheath. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the student's academic, social, and emotional development, addressing their unique requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the school's SENCO, teachers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for the student.
  • Develop and maintain a supportive atmosphere that encourages positive behavior and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with ASD needs.
