Care and Support Assistant

The Cambian Group seeks a committed and empathetic Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Southlands School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in helping our children and young people with communication, behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties grow into confident and capable individuals.

Key Responsibilities- Support our young people in their daily lives, encouraging them to develop essential life skills and promote independence
- Engage in activities that foster teamwork, trust, and understanding, such as kayaking, abseiling, and skydiving
- Maintain open and honest communication with our young people, respecting their boundaries and needs
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
- An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
We offer a competitive salary range of £22,500 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you can expect:
