Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Our client, a leading groundworks contractor, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in the West Midlands. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing projects from tender stage to final account, ensuring the smooth financial management of projects under your control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monthly valuations and site cost control
  • Liaising with project teams and client QS's on a daily basis
  • Managing Quantity Surveyors or Junior Quantity Surveyors
  • Preparing quotes for variation works and submitting to client QS's for approval
  • Procurement and selection of specialist subcontractor appointment and accounts
Requirements:
  • BSc or Degree in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience of working for a Residential or Commercial Groundworks sub-contractor
  • Good technical and contractual knowledge
  • Computer literate
