Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our highly skilled team in the Data & AI practice. As a key member of our team, you will provide architectural and data engineering subject matter expertise on our client projects. You will work collaboratively with our team to support Sword's clients on their journey to become data-driven organisations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and guidance on data engineering best practices
- Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Purview or similar tools
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Technology expertise
- Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory experience
- Datalake, Big Data, Cosmos DB knowledge
- Power BI skills
- Proficient in SQL, Python, Scala, T-SQL
- Snowflake and Databricks experience
- Excellent communication skills with experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and business ambassadors
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A challenging and enquiring mind
- Attention to detail and tenacity
- Solid knowledge of Data & AI
